About Us
New Hope Christian Church strives to be a family that truly loves God and each other. We want to encourage, strengthen, and challenge each other to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. We want to be a beacon of light to a world that desperately needs to see the hope that only a life in Jesus Christ can provide.
New Hope’s foundation is built on the Bible, which is our authority for our beliefs and our guide to everyday living (Romans 15:4; Heb. 4:12). The Bible is God’s truth communicated to mankind so we can learn how to be reconciled to Him and experience eternal life (Romans 3:23).
We believe that there is one God who exists in three persons at one time (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Despite this, He is still one person in His nature and His being. God is the creator of all things and is in control of all things (Acts 17:24-28; Col. 1:16, 17; Heb. 11:3).
Man, the ultimate crown of God’s creation, is blessed with the will to freely make choices. Unfortunately, many of those choices are poor and we have the responsibility to accept the consequences of those choices.
Romans 6:23 says, The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. That gift came in the form of Jesus, the Messiah, who was born to a virgin, lived a sinless life, and willingly offered His life for us on a cross. Because of His sacrifice, we believe it when Jesus says, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me (John 14:6).
The Holy Spirit helps those who accept Christ as their Savior by acting as a comforter, guide, and advocate on our behalf (John 16:5-15; Rom. 8:26, 27). The indwelling Holy Spirit is proof that Jesus promise of eternal life for the believer is true (2 Cor. 1:22; Galatians 5:22, 23).
The promises of eternal life and hope in Jesus are available to everyone who will believe and trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. One’s commitment to Christ can be seen when they repent of their sins, confess their faith in Him to others, are baptized into Christ, and live a life that is pleasing to God (Acts 2:38, 39; Rom. 6:1-12; Rom. 10:9).
