BAPTISM

At New Hope, we believe that baptism functions as an essential public confession that: (1) we need to be rescued from our sin, (2) only through Jesus Christ's death can we die to sin and be freed from our old self, (3) only through Jesus Christ's resurrection can we obtain a new way of life with Him, (4) a sincere faith in Christ will be visible to others.

When we are submerged and then brought back up again, we are symbolizing death to sin and a resurrection to new life in Christ. Anyone who has chosen to follow Jesus can get baptized.
